How to Forward Your Business Line to KaiCalls

Forward your existing business phone number so your AI agent answers every call automatically.

Quick Start (Most Carriers)

From your business phone, dial *72

This is the universal call forwarding code for most US carriers

Enter your KaiCalls phone number

Include the area code. You can find your number on the Agents page.

Wait for the confirmation tone, then hang up

All incoming calls will now be answered by your AI agent

Forwarding only moves voice calls

Carrier call forwarding sends phone calls to KaiCalls. It does not forward SMS, MMS, old carrier voicemail, or fax traffic.

If customers text this line

Texts will continue going to your old carrier while calls are forwarded. If SMS matters for appointments, 2FA, or customer messages, port the number to KaiCalls instead of relying on forwarding.

If this line receives fax

KaiCalls does not support fax on the main line yet. Keep a separate fax solution or sister number active before changing your carrier setup.

Carrier-Specific Instructions

Mobile Phones

Most mobile carriers support *72 for unconditional forwarding. Some carriers (like T-Mobile) also let you set it up in their app under Settings > Call Forwarding.

Landlines & VoIP

Traditional landlines and VoIP systems (RingCentral, Vonage, 8x8) typically support *72. For VoIP, you can also configure forwarding in your admin portal under call routing settings.

How to Undo Forwarding

To stop forwarding calls to KaiCalls and receive them directly again:

Dial *73 from your business phone and hang up. Forwarding will be cancelled immediately.
