Carrier call forwarding sends phone calls to KaiCalls. It does not forward SMS, MMS, old carrier voicemail, or fax traffic.
Texts will continue going to your old carrier while calls are forwarded. If SMS matters for appointments, 2FA, or customer messages, port the number to KaiCalls instead of relying on forwarding.
KaiCalls does not support fax on the main line yet. Keep a separate fax solution or sister number active before changing your carrier setup.
Most mobile carriers support *72 for unconditional forwarding. Some carriers (like T-Mobile) also let you set it up in their app under Settings > Call Forwarding.
Traditional landlines and VoIP systems (RingCentral, Vonage, 8x8) typically support *72. For VoIP, you can also configure forwarding in your admin portal under call routing settings.
To stop forwarding calls to KaiCalls and receive them directly again:
